Becoming Human: How wearable technology will make us more human again

Our current technology has added to the noise around us which often causes people to lose connection with who they are, the people around them and that fact that they are part of something larger then themselves. This often leaves them lonely, depressed, depleted and searching for more. But the next wave of computing through the Internet of Things, wearable tech included, will begin to change all of this. From health, to relationships and even a spiritual connection, this talk will focus on how wearable technology and the Internet of Things will help us be more in tune with ourselves and each other.

Transforming human behaviour through wearable tech

Up until now our relationship with our technology has mostly been a separate one. Our computers are devices that sit on a desk and our smartphone live in our pockets until we carry them in our hands. Wearable tech dramatically closes this separation gap, integrating it as part of ourselves. This change in relationship with our tech in turn impacts how we relate to ourselves, our world and to each other, transforming human behavior as we know it.
